The results of the second year of the Czech Beer Vision competition, organized by the Research Institute of Brewing and Malting together with the Hop Research Institute, were announced at a meeting in Žatec on January 28, 2025. 

The main guarantor of the meeting was Jana Olšovská from the Research Institute of Brewing and Malting, and the lectures were given by Zdeněk Rosa (Bohemia Hop, a.s.), Vladimír Nesvadba (Hop Research Institute), Alexandr Mikyška (Research Institute of Brewing and Malting) and Tomáš Vrzal (Research Institute of Brewing and Malting).

With the Odolchmel project, the Czech Beer Vision addresses the issue of drought and the influence of climatic conditions on Czech hop varieties and presents breweries with the results of breeding new Czech varieties tolerant to drought. The breeding department of the Hop Institute in Žatec has been involved in the development of these varieties for a long time, and Bohemia Hop is cooperating in introducing them to breweries.

Beers using new hop varieties Saaz Shine, Saaz Comfort, Saturn, Juno, Ceres or Uran were introduced by Pivovar Strakonice 1649, Plzeňský Prazdroj, Pivovar Nymburk - Postřižinské pivo, Pivovar Máša, Pivovar Louka, Pivovar Mazák, Pioneer Beer, Pivovar Prokopák, Rodinný pivovar Zichovec, PIVOVAVAR ANTOŠ, Faltus, Zažij Brno U Tomana, Pivovar Horymír, Pivovar Valeč, Pivovar Řeporyje, Petr Petružálek, Veselka, Pivovar Matuška, Pivovar Řevnice, Pivovar Trilobit, Harry, pivozelektrarny.cz, Pivovar Svijany, Kyjovský pivovar and Old Cock.
